Baskets Full of Hope

Give a "basketful" of hope today!

Gift Baskets for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers

When Connie Pombo was diagnosed with breast cancer on March 21, 1996, one of the first gifts she received was a "basketful" of relaxation tapes, comfy socks, lip balm, candles, herbal teas, and a journal which contained the words, "Start Writing!" And she hasn't stopped writing since.

She is the author of three books, a line of greeting cards, and most recently her life story is featured in  July/August 2006 issue of "Coping with Cancer" magazine. She is a motivational speaker who shares her inspirational story of "Living the Passionate Life," with audiences across the nation. Through her tragedy, pain and loss, Connie discovered her passion of speaking, writing, photography, and now "giving hope" through her line of gift baskets.

Each basket contains one of Connie's inspirational books: Trading Ashes for Roses: From Pain to Passion; Conversations on Faith with Dr. Robert Schuller, Dave Dravecky and Ann Jillian, and now her most recent book, God Allows U-Turns for Women: The Choices We Make Change the Story of Our Life by Bethany House Publishers, and a carefully selected packet of her photographic greeting cards--"Cards by Connie." Connie is also a contributing author to the following new books: The Serenity Prayer by Adams Media, The One Year Life Verse by Tyndale House Publishing, and Chicken Soup for the Coffee Lover's Soul, which contains Connie's breast cancer survivor story - "Touched by a Coffee Loving Angel." If you purchase The Serenity Prayer or Chicken Soup for the Coffee Lover's Soul book, all profits will go to the Susan G. Breast Cancer Foundation.

After her diagnosis, Connie didn't know how long she had to live, but she wanted to make the most of life while she was living, so she created a passionate "to-do" list which included 27 things she wanted to do before she died. It's been ten years since she wrote that list, but she has accomplished each "passionate" goal, including a line of gift baskets for cancer survivors and caregivers.

If you know someone who is going through the cancer journey, let them know that you care by giving them a "basket of hope." Feel free to check out our line of baskets and find out about our "personalized" gift basket. All baskets are sent within 24 hours of ordering via UPS ground.
